La Manga Club is an internationally acclaimed 1,400 acre sport and leisure resort on the Costa Calida in the province of Murcia in South East Spain. The sporting paradise is located between the low hills which separate the Mediterranean from the Mar Menor sea in south eastern Spain.

The South Course La Manga

The resort has hosted many premier sporting events including five Spanish Open golf championships, and tennis's Davis Cup and Fed Cup. There is something for everyone at this resort where you can do as much as you want or just laze back by the pool and watch the world go by.

La Manga Club resort provides a high quality range of accommodation including the luxury 5 star 189 bedroom Hyatt Regency, the 4 star deluxe 271 bedroom apartment hotel at Las Lomas Village and Spa and the 5 star 28 apartment Peninsular Club (a private members vacation club). The South Course La Manga

The resort has 3 courses; the Championship South Course, North and West Courses. Set within a valley, the South Course is set in the flatter valley basin, with the North and West courses playing out amongst the undulations and elevations of the valley slopes.

The South Course has been the venue for many major professional tournaments; Spanish Opens (both ladies' and men's), PGA Championships and Qualifying Schools for both the men's and ladies' European Tours. In addition, it remains the firm favourite of many companies throughout the world as the perfect venue for their corporate events.

Set amid serene pine woodlands, this wonderfully manicured, tree lined course is set in the rolling hillside overlooking La Manga Club. Its breathtaking views, undulating fairways and fast greens make this course particularly exciting course to play. The golfing facilities also include an 18-hole pitch and putt course, a floodlit driving range, practice area, clubhouse with proshop and golf academy.

If you are a tennis enthusiast, La Manga Club could easily be defined as the ultimate tennis resort in Spain. The Tennis Centre comprises of 28 courts (20 championship clay courts, 4 hard courts and 4 AstroTurf) including a centre court with seating for 1,400 spectators and a proshop.

The shop with a selection of the best-known brands in clothing and equipment. Racket stringing and equipment hire services are also available.. La Manga Club's superb tennis facilities are complemented by a world class Tennis Academy offering the latest V1 digital coaching technology and first-class tuition for all ages.

Adult and junior tennis players will find coaching programmes tailored to their needs and level. The La Manga Club holds weekly competitions and arranges friendly games for guests. The Tennis Centre has hosted many major competitions, including the Davis Cup, the Fed Cup and numerous ATP tournaments and is the official winter training base of Britain's Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). The wonderful climate and floodlit courts mean that you can enjoy a match all year round, day or night.

La Manga Club Tennis Coaching

Tennis Centre has two state of the art paddle tennis courts with glass walls, so you can enjoy paddle tennis in the sun all year round. Paddle tennis is a new dynamic and entertaining sport combining some of the best features of tennis racket-ball and squash.

The tennis centre is also home to one of Spain's few natural grass bowling lawns. Bowls can be hired from the tennis reception. The bowls club holds competitions and friendly games for all ages and levels of ability.

The tennis centre also boasts a climbing wall which during the summer holds regular supervised sessions for youngsters. Also for children there are miniature golf courses at the Tennis Centre and Hyatt Las Lomas Village.

The professional Football Centre opened in 1998 and is generally considered to be one of the best football training resorts in Europe. The facility offers eight international standard pitches.

The La Manga Club Football Training Facilities

It has been used by more than 175 professional teams including England, Norway, Spain, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea and is the winter training base for Norwegian football. The Centre also contains 2 recently constructed all-weather cricket pitches.

In November 2003 the resort hosted the La Manga Club Festival of Cricket.

The Spa at La Manga Club was opened in Spring 2004. It is one of the largest and most luxurious in Europe, comprising saunas, steam rooms, a jacuzzi, a relaxation area, a dedicated fitness studio, 13 treatment rooms, a spa shop, a superbly equipped gymnasium and a 6-lane, 25m lap swimming pool with separate children's pool.

The La Manga Club Spa

If visiting the resort with friends or family there are plenty of off site leisure activities and places to visit. Only 10 minutes drive from the resort is a Go Karting track where you can race against your friends and other guests. The hills surrounding the resort offer up some excellent hiking terrain with well marked paths and many stunning views.

At Rancho de la Fuente stables a short ride from the resort you can have horse riding lessons and picnic beach rides. Biking La Manga offers a great selection of the latest generation mountain bikes for all levels of experience. Bikes can be hired for one day to as long as a week or more. Helmets, locks and maps are all provided and guided cycle tours are organised every week.

Just ten minutes from the resort you will discover the Mediterranean as well as the beach there are plenty of water based activities waiting for you to take the plunge including sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, boat trips, jet-skiing and kite surfing. At Mar Menor there is a large salt water lake which is on the border of the La Manga Resort.

The Hyatt Hotel La Manga

La Manga's nightlife is as varied and extensive as its sports and leisure activities. After the sun goes down you won't need to leave the resort to enjoy great food and entertainment until the small hours. Whether you want Spanish tapas, international cuisine or a good old British pub, you'll find it all here. If you're staying in the Hyatt Hotel, a baby sitting service is available so you can enjoy a romantic dinner for two.

For after-dinner entertainment there's Yesterday's disco and the Hyatt Hotel where you can listen to live music, enjoy a cocktail in the piano bar or take a chance in the casino.

The lavish casino, with a Roman and Carthaginian theme to reflect the region's history, has 40 slot machines and 20 gaming tables for blackjack, poker and roulette. It also has a lounge area, tapas bar and regular live entertainment.
